The Armand Heitz estate was established in the mid-19th century when the Nié-Vantey family, who owned several parcels of vines in Burgundy at the time, acquired the land on which the famous estate is poised today. Subsequently, marriages and inheritances kept the vineyard within the same family, until 2011 when Armand Heitz took over the running of the estate. After obtaining a degree in oenology and working with great passion and rigour on one hectare of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, Armand Heitz decided to expand the estate in order to develop a wider range of appellations and therefore different styles.
Thus, the Armand Heitz estate extends sumptuously from Beaune to Chassagne-Montrachet and offers very authentic Burgundy wines that reflect their terroir. Among the appellations in which the estate's vines are grown, some of the most prestigious climats in the region stand out and testify to the quality of the estate's vineyards: Pommard 1er Cru, Chevalier-Montrachet Grand Cru, Chassagne Montrachet 1er Cru, Meursault 1er Cru and Beaune 1er Cru.
